Project 1
Project 1: Hard Surface Modeling
The hard surface model I decided to do is Knife.

Below shows the process of how I made the model.
Modeling Phase
In Figure 1, I used a mesh circle and extrude shape to follow the reference model behind it
Figure 1
I then loop cut 5 times in the middle of the handle and bringing the middle edges of each one inwards to give more definition towards the handle
Figure 2
I beveled each of the edges to give a more rounded shape and deleted the 3 top vertices on top of the handle to add in the slanted part of the handle and use loop tools add-on to flatten the surface
Figure 3
I changed the material to red and filled in the top and bottom of the holes of the handle by simply adding faces by clicking 'F'
Figure 4
I deleted the bottom faces of the handle and extruded them to add in the tank
Figure 5
Proceeding to make the handle I use a circle mesh and deleting half of the circle then extruding towards the middle using the mirrored modifier as well as the solidify modifier to increase the thickness
Figure 6
Making the blade, I extruded to the reference and certain vertices I pushed them forward to give more of a realistic knife look so it goes from thicker and then thinner towards the end.
Figure 7
I used a weighted bevel modifier to bevel the edges of the blade and make weighted bevel to 1.00
Figure 8
I proceeded to make the lines more sharper by 'Make Sharp' and then increasing the crease weight to 1.00 as well as adding subdivision surface
Figure 9
For the groove, I added a mesh circle and cut it in half placing on top of the groove then duplicating the shape, drag it down, mirrored it as well as joining all the vertices. I then cut off the faces and then pushing the edges inwards to the knife.

Texturing Phase
This was my knife before that I used the wrong materials and lighting. Thus, I needed to revise on the material to make the blade even more shinier.
I added material for the blade and the handle. For the blade, to give it a shiny look, I manipulated the roughness and the metallic. Giving roughness .167 and metallic .908
Figure 12
Lighting Phase
I had to manipulate with the lighting alot to show the detailing of the knife thus, I use 3 spot lights and 1 point light to really show off the small details of the blade
Figure 14
This is the result of the knife when it is rendered.
